Summary:Kasia's wedding unravels with the arrival of dead bodies, gangsters, and her ex-boyfriend, in this satire on post-communist Poland
This satire on post-communist Poland, is a film about love and about money. And actually the love of money. Wojnar, a wealthy man from a small town, throws a lavish wedding for Kaska, his daughter, whose groom has to be bribed with a fancy car as Kaska is pregnant by another man. As is the Polish custom, the wedding is flamboyant and costly but, Wojnar, who is very reluctant to part with his money, tries to haggle and bribe his way out of paying. As Kaska's wedding unravels, fraught with blocked toilets, demanding thugs, former lovers, a dead grandfather, and some awful catering, the bride recognizes her ex-boyfriend with whom she is still in love, and who is a cameraman at the wedding - adding to the blend of disaster
Wesele to opowieść o miłości i o pieniądzach. A właściwie o miłości do pieniędzy. Wojnar, zamożny mieszkaniec małego miasteczka, urządza córce wystawne wesele. Zgodnie z "polską tradycją" impreza przybiera charakter pokazowy. Kiedy zabawa rozkręca się na całego, panna młoda dostrzega wśród gości weselnych kamerzystę, swojego byłego chłopaka, którego nadal kocha. Wcześniej ustalony scenariusz wesela zaczyna wymykać się spod kontroli ojca i chęć pokazania się przez gospodarza z jak najlepszej strony doprowadza do katastrofy
